cause i that to think i imagining things now, If some one else wants test 353.62 drivers and the 223b7da in opengl 16:9 and stretch in full screen to confirm my finding would be great. So that means some thing went wrong with one nvidia drivers after 353.62 and something went wrong with pcsx2 since 223b7da. Wow it get more interesting the more i dig.ģ53.62 + 223b7da = Opengl 16:9 and Stretch Windowed Fullscreenģ56.62 + ac0d7f7 = Opengl 16:9 and stretched Fullscreen exclusive.ģ61.43 + 223b7da and ac0d7f7 = 16:9 and stretch Fullscreen exclusive. īut gregory have you noticed that opengl in 16:9 and stretch is doing fullscreen exclusive, ( the whole delay and black screen flash when tabing is dead give away, along with the tearing.) while 4:3 opengl and every dx9/11 mode does windowed fullscreen?if you dont see this then might be while to this get sorted out. Have not had vsync enabled in pcsx2 since win7 and never had any tearing in any of the above modes or for that matter seen pcsx2 ever use fullscreen exclusive if i bother to test more drivers i report so, but for now i just leave it be, 361.43 nvidia drivers fix the one problem in win10 i been complain about since win10 came out, which is max peformance in global resulted in no idle speeds ever even on desktop, 361.43 fixed it so i can once again use max performance in global profile and actual have idle speeds working again. It could go either way drivers or pcsx2 both in some way?, but it is odd how dx9/11 4:3/16:9/stretch and OpenGL 4:3 use windowed fullscreen and 16:9 and stretch in opengl all of sudden use exclusive fullscreen and tear and need vsync as result Went back to 358.50 opengl in 16:9 mode just default to full screen exclusive there to, but i know opengl in 16:9 fullscreen never went to exclusive full screen cause the delay in tabing out and the tearing was never there, i would made compliant about this long ago if it was always like this guess probably easier to see if amd does same thing now. Sorry if i keep changing from Windowed fullscreen/Windowed Boarderless etc and confusing people force of happen from years of explain to people there the same what hidden options? but know when I start using win10 and initial drivers for nvidia 16:9 mode was not going to fullscreen exclusive, seeing as i refuse to do anything with out vsnyc so i know when thing start tearing, also know some of the initial nvidia drivers for win10 had bug where vsync would randomly not work. Im not against fullscreen exclusive for people that dont have aero enabled. But exclusive fullscreen shouldn't mater if pcsx2 has it own vsync setting which it does, so enabling that in pcsx2 should be enough stop tearing, it just wont have uncap fps like aero version performance difference a side, i personal never seen difference performance wise windowed fullscreen vs fullscreen exclusive but im sure others have.īut Opengl definitely need to put back in to windowed fullscreen (borderless) mode for 16:9 and stretched that and i like windows aero verison more, it removes tearing but dont limit to monitors hz, I also prefer Windowed fullscreen and have for very long time, I never liked the delay from exclusive when tabing out of games. question is why is opengl acting like this while DX yes windowed boardless for all? fix so they all use windowed borderless would be great. This would be the best for everyone, because if they don't have Aero they need the option to run the program in exclusive fullscreen to even have Vsync.Īformentioned tickbox would probably go hereish are right setting pcsx2 to 4 3 = Opengl Windowed(fullscreen) setting pcsx2 to 16:9 or stretched= Fullscreen exclusive, which explains the why it needs vysnc enable to not tear. Ideally a tickbox for exclusive fullscreen regardless of backend (make borderless default for all backends), and just make sure the Vsync works without slowdowns when in exclusive mode. Fix Vsync in OGL for people who don't have Aero.Make OGL's exclusive fullsceen borderless fullscreen (This will eliminate the need for Vsync for those who have Aero running.). There are quite a few things that point towards this that I mentioned there, I had just assumed all the backends were that way but after looking OGL seems to be the only one using exclusive.Įdit: I actually found out that running OGL in 4:3 makes it run in borderless windowed, however 16:9 makes it run in exclusive. Yep, that is probably it, that is why I was getting confused in on the forum because I'm almost certain OGL is in exclusive fullscreen.
